Blackthorn University was founded on the belief that life in virtual worlds deserves the same depth of learning as any real-world discipline. Whether you want to script, build, design, or lead — what you create in Second Life is real craft, and it deserves to be taught that way.
We offer structured courses across multiple schools and subjects. Each programme is designed for residents at every level — complete newcomers and experienced creators alike. You do not need prior knowledge to begin; you only need the curiosity to learn.
All instruction takes place in-world and through our companion course materials. Enrolment is handled directly on campus — no out-of-world signup required.

School of Virtual Scripting — Beginner
The complete beginner's guide to Linden Scripting Language. You will write your first script, learn variables, events, conditionals, loops, and lists, and finish by building a fully functional in-world object from scratch. No programming experience required.
